Sport Sauna Suit

$25.00

The Sport Sauna Suit features a drawstring hood with a short zippered neckline. All black construction with silver athletic stripes along legs and arms. Be sure to visit the Stealth and Trainer for other available models and features.

Made with a single layer smooth PVC material to retain body heat, increase perspiration, sauna suits are traditionally used as a training aid for athletes or even as therapy for skin conditions such as psoriasis.

Asphalt Pilots offers them here as an additional layer of thermal support as mentioned in our blog post here, originally inspired to promote heat under a motorcycle race suit.

All suits feature elastic cuffs at wrists and ankles. The Trainer and Sport feature a short neckline zipper and drawstring hood while the Stealth model features an elastic neck.

Sauna Suits are an affordable aid for exercise and thermal elevation. Extended wearing will increase water loss and the user should exercise caution to monitor water loss or dramatic increase of body temperature which could lead to heat stroke or dehydration.

All suits are packed tight and ship in a simple plastic bag. For health reasons, suits cannot be returned

FITMENT

Traditionally, sauna suits are offered in one or two sizes. They are intended to be slightly loose to allow for movement, bending, etc. For all three models offered here, we offer them in two sizes each.

The model shown in these photos is 6’1″ tall and 190 pounds and wearing the smaller size. Although fitment is good as shown, in some cases, using the larger suit may be desired.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Sauna Suits are not “bulletproof”. They are a simple design and construction with heat welded seams. Do not machine wash or dry. Recommended care is to hand wash in a sink. Pro Tip: when done, get out of your sauna suit in the shower and wash with anti-bacterial soap to keep it clean and free of odors. Hang it on a suction cup hook in the shower (available at any hardware store for a couple bucks) and let it air dry.

If you choose to let your suit air dry while lathered in soap, this may help ensure the bacterial properties are fully removed. However, when putting your suit back on, your perspiration will reconstitute the soap and you will notice lathering under your suit. Either be sure to rinse out all the soap right away as you first step out of your suit or remember to rinse it before putting it on again in these instances.
